My mom used to always say "snug as a bug in a rug".
Here is that in a summed up nicely in a photo:
Snug is also what my fat pants are at the moment.
Which probably wasn't helped by Jason and I having Japanese food for lunch.
Tara introduced me to the beauty of Japanese cuisine last week.
When people used to say "we're going for sushi" I assumed that it was all slabs of raw fish.
Not true.
Imagine my surprise.
And now it's my latest obsession.
I do that with food all the time. I tend to find something that totally rocks my taste buds and then I overindulge.
Caesar salad, cinnabon (with extra icing for dipping), lemon chicken, coke slurpees, Jampee's Real Thai Food...just a few past obsessions of mine. (and my need for fat pants is becoming abundantly clear...)
And now it's sushi. And tempura stuff.
I even used chopsticks when Tara and I went. Sadly, she had to point out that I was using the wrong ends. But I persevered and was able to get all but a few pieces of rice down the gullet.
Tomorrow, Gorgeous George goes to see the surgeon about his broken ankle. We're hoping they don't have to pin anything. Fingers crossed.
I've read a couple of books that made me laugh recently:
Me Talk Pretty One Day by Dave Sedaris. Funny, funny guy.
And Stories From the Vinyl Cafe by Stuart McLean. Very Canadian and VERY funny. (thanks for the recommendation Kelli!)
