Who's there?
Remember a few months ago when we joked that if our house wasn't finished by June 1st, the day we are out of our rental, we would move into our travel trailer while we finished?
Remember a few months ago when we joked that if our house wasn't finished by June 1st, the day we are out of our rental, we would move into our travel trailer while we finished who?
Us. That's who.
And all my posturing and vowing to move into a hotel?
Big Talker, Betty Crocker.
That's me.
So it looks like, with only 11 days to go and the house not even half painted (not to mention no flooring and our kitchen is going to be a week later than we had booked), that we will be enjoying doing a little camping before summer holidays even starts.
Lucky us!
I just keep up the mantra:
"It's not as bad as moving into the basement 5 days before Christmas while the drywallers are still drywalling and you don't have a bathroom door so in order to pee in privacy you have to haul your ass out of bed at 5:00 so that Stinky and Potsy (the drywallers) don't catch you in flagrante delicto."
It's a long mantra, but it keeps me going.
This was the outside of the house a couple of weeks ago:
And here is my scrapbook room pre-paint. And if you have any suggestions on colour for it please let me know! I've kind of picked red, but I'm still a bit unsure.
Now I'm off to meet Audrey for our Sunday morning stumble around the lake.
We will be running for a total of 35 minutes. I'm still not sure I believe it.
Hope it's a big trailer???? Some people might be envious?
The house sure looks great! And the beautiful lighting in your scrap room, wow! I wish I had all those windows, I love natural light!
I pick subtle greens for your room. Blends with the scenery outside and is calming and relaxing. That's my 2 cents worth of nothing!

I am going to be nice and stay away from the trailer jokes. Personally, I think that for every day you stay in the trailer, you should get to keep the cash that would have been spent on a hotel room or rental and go buy yourself something pretty. :)
Your house looks fantastic. I can't wait to see the finished pictures. LOOOOVE your scraproom with all of those windows. I think red is awesome. But that's just because I love my red room. :)

I really want to hear Jennifer trailer trash jokes. Would you like for me to send you a flea bitten dog and some broken lawn chairs?
I LOVE the idea of a red. It will go beautifully with your furniture and style. Then you should mix in some of the yummy blue in your mudroom as an accent color!

If you want to shorten your mantra it could be "At least its not the spider hole". eek. That had to have been waaaaay worse.
Your new found running skills ares so impressive. I'm curious to hear how 35 minutes went. I was thinking that next visit to Terrace you'll be able to run the bench with me. Woo hoo! Aren't you excited? :) Don't worry, I think it only took me about 2 months to actually "like" running, and probably 6 to "love" it. But just think of how mean & lean you'll be! Besides - running is a good excuse for eating nachos.... You know... its ok, I'll run it off later. haha
